Newcastle United have completed the signing of full-back Amar Dedic from Benfica in a deal reported to be worth around £30m, and the defender says joining the Magpies is "a really big honour."
According to BBC News, Dedic described the move as a "special feeling," and the transfer also reunites him with head coach Matthias Jaissle, under whom he previously won a league title.
The deal adds fresh competition to Newcastle's backline as Eddie Howe continues to strengthen his squad ahead of the new campaign, bringing in a player already familiar with his new manager's methods and demands from their time working together previously.
