Arsenal's long-running interest in Nico Williams has reportedly resurfaced, according to EPL Index, as the Gunners once again weigh up whether this could be the summer they finally make their move.
The Spain international, valued at around £77m, has previously slipped through Arsenal's grasp despite genuine admiration from the club, and the report suggests he remains firmly on their radar heading into this transfer window. Williams, a World Cup winner with Spain, is seen as the kind of dynamic wide option Mikel Arteta has been keen to add to his squad.
However, EPL Index stresses this is still very much a "will they, won't they" situation rather than a done deal — Arsenal have circled the Athletic Bilbao winger before without following through. Whether this summer proves different remains to be seen, with the north London club having to decide if they're finally ready to commit the funds needed to prise him away from San Mamés.
