Djed Spence's Tottenham chapter has officially closed, with the England international completing a move to Serie A champions Inter Milan, as confirmed on Saturday.

According to BBC News, Spence has put pen to paper on a five-year contract at the San Siro, with Inter reportedly paying around €30m (£25.6m) to secure his signature.

Before the deal was made official, Spence took to social media to bid farewell to Spurs, writing that the north London club "will always have a place in my heart" as he described the move as the end of "a special chapter" in his career.

The defender leaves Tottenham for a fresh challenge in Italy, joining a Serie A title-winning side as he looks to build on his development in English football with a new opportunity abroad.
