Seamus Coleman has been spotted training with his hometown Gaelic football club Killybegs, but according to the BBC, a full return to GAA action isn't on the cards just yet for the former Everton defender.
Coleman, who left Everton after a hugely decorated spell at Goodison Park, grew up playing Gaelic football before switching codes to pursue a professional soccer career. His appearance at Killybegs training has sparked talk of a possible switch back to his roots, but the BBC reports that any competitive comeback with the club remains unlikely for now.
The 37-year-old spent well over a decade at Everton, becoming a fan favourite and long-serving captain, and his next move — whether in football or otherwise — will be watched closely by supporters on both sides of the Irish Sea. For now, though, it seems Coleman is simply keeping fit and enjoying time with his local community rather than plotting an imminent GAA return.
