Manchester City's interest in Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi has been confirmed by his own head coach, according to Sky Sports' transfer round-up. Davide Ancelotti admitted talks between the clubs have taken place, though he made clear he's hoping the move doesn't materialise, keen to retain the highly-rated youngster at Lille.

Elsewhere in Sky Sports' paper talk, Liverpool winger Cody Gakpo is reportedly closing in on a switch to Tottenham, having already agreed personal terms ahead of a possible summer transfer. The Reds are also said to have lowered their asking price for midfielder Curtis Jones, who remains a target for Inter Milan.

In Scotland, Celtic playmaker Reo Hatate is understood to be attracting interest from Greek giants Panathinaikos, who are keeping tabs on the Japan international as a potential summer addition.

None of these deals have been confirmed as done, with Bouaddi's situation in particular still hanging on further negotiations between City and Lille — talks Ancelotti clearly wishes would stall.
