Enes Unal has bid farewell to Bournemouth after completing a permanent return to Getafe on a free transfer, according to BBC News.
The 29-year-old striker admitted his time on the south coast wasn't always smooth, writing "things didn't always go the way I had hoped" in his departing message, though he insisted "I gave everything I had" during his spell at the club.
Despite the free transfer, Bournemouth aren't leaving entirely empty-handed — the Cherries could pocket up to £1.3m in add-on payments as part of the deal, alongside a sell-on percentage should Getafe later cash in on the striker.
Unal now returns to La Liga, where he previously impressed before his move to the Premier League, as he looks to reignite his career back in Spain.
