1. FC Nürnberg produced a ruthless display in this pre-season friendly, thrashing amateur outfit Kornburg 10-0 in a one-sided contest that showcased their squad depth ahead of the new campaign.

Nürnberg took time to break the deadlock, finally striking through M. Soldic in the 42nd minute to open the scoring right before the interval. Whatever was said at halftime clearly worked, as the visitors returned to torch their overmatched opponents.

J. Justvan completed a hat-trick with goals in the 47th, 57th and 75th minutes, while C.Y. Moustfa also found the net twice, in the 53rd and 61st minutes. A. Grimaldi chipped in with a brace of his own in the 59th and 82nd minutes, sandwiched around further contributions from R. Ghrieb (54') and K. El Haija, who rounded off the rout in the 84th minute.

The flurry of goals between the 53rd and 61st minute - four strikes in eight second-half minutes - effectively ended any competitive pretense, as Nürnberg's rotation of attacking talent overwhelmed Kornburg's backline time and again.

With ten different goal-scoring moments and no reply from the hosts, the result underlines the gulf in class between the top-flight German side and their lower-tier opponents, serving as ideal attacking rehearsal for Nürnberg before the season begins in earnest.
